A bit of a personal blog post today. After 36 years it was time for my mum and dad to say goodbye to their home and move on to pastures new. What a wonderful place for me and my brother to grow up in alongside the most unbelievably supportive and loving parents! A few days before the big move I roped mum and dad (Steve and Judy) into an in home couple shoot in the house, our lovely family home and I just know we’ll treasure these images forever. It’s funny the things that stand out to you when you’re going to say goodbye to a place you’ve loved. I’ve included in this post some of the crazy, amazing patterns from around the house that we will never forget and in doing so I was reminded of Emma Case Photography’s carpetgate. Long story short, Emma shot the top of her…
When Caroline + Alan got in touch about Hampton Court House wedding photography, I got EXCITED! This venue is so beautiful – the perfect mixture of gorgeous grounds and beautiful architecture – stunning high ceilings and huge windows in the ceremony space, the opulent dining hall for a wonderful wedding breakfast feast and an amazing conservatory just perfect for dancing the night away! I met my bride and groom for a pre-wedding shoot in Borough Market and it made me so excited to see them again on their big day. Caroline got ready at the beautiful Petersham Hotel in Richmond before hot-footing it to Hampton Court House where Alan waited to tie the knot! Surrounded by family and friends and with some gorgeous sunshine to top things off nicely it was a day to remember always. Here are a few highlights from their awesome wedding day.
Adam + David got in touch looking for photography of their awesome same sex Jewish wedding at the beautiful Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green. And it was WONDERFUL! A day full of love, laughter and celebration to welcome the newlyweds into married life. From our morning stroll through Victoria Park to their gorgeous Chuppah service officiated by the awesome Rabbi Miriam Berger to the amazing speeches and finally the EPIC party, the day was an absolute dream for a gay wedding photographer. Here is a flavour of their wedding day in all it’s glory. Lots of love, guys, wishing you a lifetime of happiness, laughter and fun!!
Anna, Jamie + I got together for a fun stroll along the river ahead of their upcoming wedding for a Richmond engagement shoot and a bit of bride and groom portrait practise before the big day. We even managed to stay one step ahead of the rain! Can’t wait to capture all the fun of your wedding celebrations you lovely people!! xx
Last year I got to shoot something pretty spectacular when Emily + Alex tied the knot in an incredible celebration on the beautiful island of Capri, Italy. WOW! Having worked with Emily in the past I was overjoyed to be trusted with her special day and asked to cover the wedding photography at the wonderful celebration she was planning. Firstly, the setting could not have been more stunning and the bride and groom matched it perfectly. Gorgeous people inside and out, it was an absolute pleasure to join them, their loving family and friends for their incredible wedding and my relaxed, documentary way, allowing the day to unfold and capturing all the fun, exactly as it happened. Take a peek at some of my favourites from this awesome day! xx
One of the benefits of shooting newborn sessions is I often get first dibs on hugs with these awesome little humans and I was lucky enough to be one of the first to meet a very good friend of mine’s little one Sienna Lily last year at just 7 days old. Family photography is one of my favourites, helping you to mark special and life-changing moments in life is a privilege and the arrival of your first child is one of the biggest! Here are my absolute favourites from our in home newborn shoot. Do get in touch if you’re expecting, I’d love to help you make some lovely memories 🙂
One of my favourite ways to shoot family photography is to join them at a celebration and the beautiful day we spent in Nana’s garden with her two grandsons, her children and their spouses as they gathered to celebrate her birthday was absolutely perfect. The little ones were so comfortable in the familiar surroundings and we made some awesome memories the whole family can treasure forever! I firmly believe that family photography is at it’s absolute best when it’s fun, relaxed and natural. Do get in touch if you’d like a shoot with your family!
It was a very Good Friday for my lovely bride and groom Caroline + Charlie when they tied the knot at wedding venue Gaynes Park last year. Sharing in such special days as a wedding photographer is immense at the best of times but having shot weddings for Caroline’s two awesome sisters too, this one was even more awesome! A day full of sunshine and laughter, giggles, amazing speeches, hilarious kiddy-winks and dancing galore, the new Mr and Mrs Noakes celebrated their nuptials in the best way possible – surrounded by love and laughter. Wishing you the most wonderful future together. Just need to persuade their brother to hire me too when he ties the knot…!
Usually this London photographer gets to shoot events that are already underway – engagements, weddings, parties, christenings etc., so this was a first for me… a London proposal! After a few emails back and forth James and I had planned the perfect spot by Tower Bridge and City Hall and I lay in wait to capture this once in a lifetime moment for him and fiance Beth (sorry, I didn’t want to ruin it but she said YES!). Take a look at my favourites from this super-special moment in this blog post.
Emily + Alex took a break from planning their July wedding in Italy to join this London photographer for some engagement shoot fun on Wimbledon Common. The Common’s a perfect mix of wide open grassy spaces and hidden leafy loveliness, both of which made it just perfect for our golden hour shoot. Finding London’s incredible secret wildlife spots is always a joy… you’d think we were shooting in the proper countryside, like! Emily + Alex, a beautiful couple inside and out, I could not be more excited to capture all la celebrazione e l’amore of your Italian nuptials! (special thanks to Google translate for that one!) xxxxxxx
