Saturday was simply a dream for a documentary wedding photographer! Sophie + James tied the knot at a beautiful local church and then partied the day and night away just a stone’s throw away in a marquee in the field next door. Not only are my couple gorgeous both inside and out, they were surrounded by so much love and joy from their friends and family… oh gawd, pass me the tissues again!! The day ran like clockwork thanks to awesome event planners Peri Peri, some of the most adorable children I’ve ever met increased all the smiles tenfold, the family dog attended and all in all it was a bloody good day! Here are some of my favourite moments… Enjoy!
Surrounded by family, friends, orange, pink and purple, Rachael + Louise tied the knot at The Barn at Redcoats on Saturday with a beautiful wedding ceremony and one heck of a party! As their documentary wedding photographer I was there to capture all the emotion, the fun and laughter… and let me tell you, there was a lot! Ooodles of giggles and grins had me smiling from ear to ear too – a definite perk of the job! Shooting lesbian wedding photography is a pleasure and a privilege and if I can help you (dear blog reader!) celebrate your love and make some awesome memories please do get in touch. To The Smirths, the hugest of congratulations to you both, here is just a snippet of your amazing wedding day and I wish you (and know you will have) a lifetime of happiness together xx
Wowee, what a wedding day! Full of fun, family and friends, Anna + Jamie celebrated their marriage with a superb celebration at Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate. They knew they wanted a documentary wedding photographer so they could relax and enjoy the day making real, amazing memories with all of their loved ones. Oh gawd, I’m tearing up just thinking about it!!! Here’s a little of what we all got up to…
Oooh I loved re-living this amazing wedding choosing my favourites for this blog post!! I have known Matt and Claire for many years and helping them make these wonderful memories was super-fun!! My lovely bride and groom were happy for me to do my natural, relaxed, documentary thang. They chose a dream venue for a barn wedding photographer – the beautiful Hazel Gap Barn. A light-drenched wedding breakfast room, forest and fields for epic bride and groom portraits, enough dance and seating space for all your guest’s needs! Perfection 🙂
It was a very Good Friday for my lovely bride and groom Caroline + Charlie when they tied the knot at wedding venue Gaynes Park last year. Sharing in such special days as a wedding photographer is immense at the best of times but having shot weddings for Caroline’s two awesome sisters too, this one was even more awesome! A day full of sunshine and laughter, giggles, amazing speeches, hilarious kiddy-winks and dancing galore, the new Mr and Mrs Noakes celebrated their nuptials in the best way possible – surrounded by love and laughter. Wishing you the most wonderful future together. Just need to persuade their brother to hire me too when he ties the knot…!
Usually this London photographer gets to shoot events that are already underway – engagements, weddings, parties, christenings etc., so this was a first for me… a London proposal! After a few emails back and forth James and I had planned the perfect spot by Tower Bridge and City Hall and I lay in wait to capture this once in a lifetime moment for him and fiance Beth (sorry, I didn’t want to ruin it but she said YES!). Take a look at my favourites from this super-special moment in this blog post.
Emma + David’s English barn wedding at Columbine Hall, Suffolk had lots of unique Swedish touches and was frankly an absolute blast from start to finish! Surrounded by friends and family, laughter and love and just positively beaming from sunrise to sunset, the bride and groom celebrated their marriage with a beautiful summer wedding in Kent whilst this lucky wedding photographer captured it all. Congratulations my friends, thank you for allowing me to make these memories for you! xxx
It’s such a huge honour when friends get in touch about wedding photography and when my university friend Chloe asked me to photograph her and Jonathan’s special day I jumped at the chance! St Pancras made the perfect backdrop for our first look bride and groom portrait session before a hop skip and a jump took us to the registry office and then the lovely London wedding venue St Chad’s Place. Man, I love the light in this awesomely versatile space! Chloe + Jonathan started their married life as they mean to go on with friends and family toasting, hugging, dancing and celebrating into the wee hours. Couldn’t be more chuffed for you guys! xxx
Chloe + Jonathan were a little apprehensive about their engagement shoot in Greenwich which is exactly the reason I love it when my couples choose to do them. Not only does it take the mystery out of the bride and groom portraits so you’re ready to bang them out on the big day and get back to celebrating, it also gives you a lovely reminder of that awesome time in your lives when you were a fiance. I flippin’ LOVE that part and this London photographer wants you to remember it forever! We started by the Cutty Sark ship and although the weather started a little drizzly, we soon fought it off as we walked, laughed and practised some super-simple portrait posing ahead of their April wedding. Can’t wait for the big day guys, see you soon!
